Route Schedule

To learn how to read the Wichita Falls Transit System bus schedule, please take a moment to review this example. Let’s assume that one weekday afternoon you want to leave your place of work in downtown Wichita Falls on Scott Street between 7th and 9th Street and take the bus to your home near Midwestern Pkwy. and Jacksboro. Turn to the system map and find the route(s) that travels nearest where you work or live. This trip is best served by the BLUE ROUTE EASTSIDE/MIDWESTERN. The schedule includes a map of the route. The map shows the name of the street traveled along the route as well as the direction the bus travels on these streets.

In this example you would board the bus at SCOTT and 7TH STREET and get off the bus at MIDWESTERN and JACKSBORO.

Rereading across the top row, you will find names of major intersections along the route which correspond to major stops on the schedule map. Reading down the column beneath SCOTT / 7TH STREET, choose the most convenient departure time, perhaps 4:50 PM. Now reading across from 4:50 PM you will find the various major stops along the route. The times listed for your preferred stop at MIDWESTERN and JACKSBORO is 5:20 PM, your arrival time.

Additional route and schedule information can be obtained by calling our information tellers at 761-7921 or 761-7433.
